The Schöhsee Artist Residency was established by our family, passionate about art and deeply appreciative of cultural exchange after many years of living abroad. Xaver, the son, studied cultural theory & photography and is now an artist and lecturer. Sabine, the mother, has been running a mosaic art studio and offering workshops for six years. Sebastian, the father, is not an artist himself but greatly enjoys visiting exhibitions and galleries.
We understand the challenges artists can face in finding the time and space to focus on their work, and we want to offer support through our initiative. In return, we’d love the chance to get to know someone who can share new ideas and insights with us.
